LDA Lahore’s New 39 Billion Rupees Road Infrastructure Project (2025) – Full Route, Packages & Impact
Today, I bring you massive development news from Lahore that will have a far-reaching impact on various ongoing and upcoming real estate projects. The Punjab Government has officially launched a mega-scale road infrastructure project worth over 39 Billion Rupees as part of Lahore’s LDA Master Plan to complete missing links in the city’s structural roads.
Let me break down the complete update, route details, and its effect on major housing schemes like Lake City, Pine Avenue, and LDA City.
Background of the Project:
The Lahore Development Authority (LDA), under the guidance of the Punjab Government (PML-N), has started implementing road development works which were part of the original LDA Structural Master Plan, pending for years. Now, work has begun rapidly and involves three major packages.
🟠 Package 1: Red Route
Route: Starts from Expo Centre (Ayub Chowk) and ends at Pine Avenue, eventually connecting to Lake City and then to Jia Bagga Road.
Type: Three-lane dual carriageway (each side).
Length: 4.75 km
Cost: PKR 16.3 Billion
Completion Time: 6 months
Features:
Two underpasses planned.
One underpass where the road intersects Pine Avenue.
Groundbreaking ceremony already completed (drone footage and videos expected soon).
Note: Pine Avenue already exists on the ground (marked in yellow), while new roads (marked red) are now under active construction.
🔵 Package 2: Blue Route
Route: Begins inside Lake City, runs toward Jia Bagga Road, and connects to LDA City via Neelam Block and joins Ferozepur Road.
Type: Two-lane road
Length: 5.3 km
Cost: PKR 16.93 Billion
Key Features:
Multiple interchanges and underpasses.
A key underpass near railway station.
Final alignment leads to 300-feet road of LDA City and then to Ferozepur Road.
Some sections already exist; only a pocket in the middle remains to be cleared by the authorities.
This road will greatly improve accessibility to LDA City, especially from Lake City and Pine Avenue zones, enhancing property values significantly.
